Bing Ads Lets Advertisers Import Product Ads from Google AdWords by @MattGSouthern

Bing Ads now has a way for advertisers to easily import Product Ads from Google AdWords.

The process of importing Product Ads is facilitated by the Google Merchant Center Import tool, which now allows product offer to be imported to Bing Merchant Center.

Bing says this will help save advertisers time, as it will reduce the need to maintain two separate feeds for Bing Ads and Google AdWords.

Advertisers will also be able to schedule the importing of feeds in Bing Merchant Center, which can help keep product offers up-to-date across both platforms.

Bing Ads users can import Product Ads from Google AdWords by following the steps below:

  • Navigate to the ‘Import’ tab in Bing Merchant Center
  • Sign in with your Google Merchant Center account to start the import process
  • Select ‘Allow’ when notified that Microsoft.com wants to access your Google account

From there you can choose to import data now, or schedule to import either daily, weekly, or monthly.

Scheduled imports can be changed at any time by clicking on ‘Manage existing imports’ and editing the schedule.

Should you choose not to schedule regular imports, know that import offers will expire after 30 days. Your offers need to be imported at least every 30 days to stay up-to-date in the system.

You can view the import status on the ‘Catalog summary’ page of the imported catalogs. This is also where you will find the imported feed processing results, giving you information on how many offers were approved versus rejected.

This tool is now available to advertisers in markets supported by Bing Ads. Before using the Google Merchant Center import tool you must first have created a Bing Merchant Center store.

Let’s block ads! (Why?)
