PEOPLE MOVES
Y&R Singapore appointed Shirley Tay, formerly MD with Zoo Group, as CEO and Janelle Goh, formerly regional account director on Colgate Palmolive at Red Fuse Communications in Hong Kong, as senior account director. Tay was MD of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore prior to Zoo, while Goh started her career with Grey Global Group in Malaysia.
Saatchi & Saatchi appointed Toby Talbot, formerly chief creative officer at DDB in Sydney, to the same post, partnering with MD Paul Wilson across the Auckland and Wellington offices. The appointment is effective in late April. Talbot has also had senior roles at Colenso BBDO, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R in London, Whybin/TBWA and Assignment.
WPP AUNZ named Kate Walker to the newly created role of group client director. She will work with Rob Currie, chief business director, and Rose Herceg, chief strategy officer to provide clients with talent and capabilities from across the group. Walker was formerly founder and MD of WPP AUNZ specialist agency Human and has also worked as GM at J. Walter Thompson Sydney.
IPG Mediabrands promoted Abhishek Bhattacharjee to chief digital officer in Malaysia. He was formerly executive director, digital.
m2m Sydney appointed Brian Seal as head of digital. With 17 years of digital experience, Seal’s last position was with APD as head of performance.
J. Walter Thompson Singapore hired Natalia Tan as business director. Most recently integrated planning director at Cheil Worldwide, Tan has 15 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing consultancy, event management, CRM and loyalty marketing programmes.
BUSINESS WINS
J. Walter Thompson Jakarta won a multi-agency pitch to be agency of record for Indonesian mobile-network operator XL Axiata.
Golin Singapore was appointed by Twitter as its Asia hub communications agency on a retainer basis.
OMD Hong Kong was appointed as the media agency for Carousell. The agency will be in-charge of media planning and buying across platforms for the online marketplace.

Phibious Indonesia launched intersport.id, the first automotive sports platform in the country. Owned by Gudang Garam International, the mobile optimised platform serves as the new avatar for ggintersport.com which was a football content platform. The content of instersport.id will be 90 percent automotive sports and 10 percent football.
