Xaxis
Xaxis, the GroupM-owned programmatic media and technology platform, has named Nicolas Bidon as its new global president.

Bidon was previously CEO for EMEA, responsible for the company’s 25 markets in the region, and before that was CEO of native ad firm Plista, which was acquired by GroupM in 2014. He succeeds Brian Gleason, moving over to GroupM’s newly-founded [m]Platform, where he will serve as global CEO.

Bidon will lead the expansion of Xaxis’ technology and data offerings with ‘an emphasis on addressability, accountability and performance’.

Signal
Sky Media’s Nick McCarthy has joined consumer data firm Signal as managing director, UK and EMEA.

As head of data partnerships at Sky Media, McCarthy was responsible for leading the creation and management of commercial data partnerships with advertisers, media agencies and broadcasters.

Based in London, he will oversee Signal’s sales and business development across the regions, with a particular focus on pushing its growth and momentum in EMEA.

Turn
Ad tech firm Turn has named Lauren Nemeth as chief revenue officer.

In the role, she will lead all sales, client service and consulting operations for the company’s DSP, DMP and analytics products and services.

Prior to joining Turn, Nemeth was COO of mobile search engine URX, which was recently acquired by Pinterest. In the 10 years before that, she worked at Google, DoubleClick and AppNexus.

AdCompass
Sam Kumar has been appointed chief revenue officer at AdCompass, an ad platform focusing on the business and luxury audience.

Kumar comes from a publisher background – he was formerly director of international sales for The Washington Post, where he helped grow the publisher’s revenues by 21 per cent over his two-year tenure, and before that held roles at The Economist.

At AdCompass, Kumar will focus on establishing roots within the agency community in the UK, and work with industry stakeholders to determine, and attempt to address, existing issues in the market.

Spotify
Spotify has hired Marco Bertozzi, formerly of Publicis Groupe’s Performics division, as European VP and head of sales.

At Performics, Bertozzi was global chief revenue officer, and has spent the majority of the past decade working for Publicis agencies, having held roles at Starcom, VivaKi and ZenithOptimedia.

Playbuzz
Jane Loring has been appointed VP of European brand partnerships at content publishing platform Playbuzz.
Loring previously worked at lifestyle content company Mode Media, where she held the position of general manager.

She is joined at Playbuzz by Victoria Pindar and Alexander Bailey, who worked alongside Loring in her previous role, and will be joining the brand partnerships team.
