PEOPLE MOVES
Jason Hill was appointed chief strategy officer at Ogilvy & Mather Singapore. He was previously head of consulting and data analytics in Singapore, and before that head of strategy at OgilvyOne Sydney.
Digital agency Essence promoted Kunal Guha to the newly created position of managing director, Singapore. He was previously client partner and head of strategy for APAC. The agency also promoted Vincent Niou to senior programmatic and partnerships director, APAC. He was previously senior planning director.
Mindshare appointed Charlotte Lee to head up its HSBC account across Asia Pacific as regional client leader. The role involves leading the HSBC trading desk along with the client’s traditional business.
Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong appointed Bocys Lam (林振業) as technical and operations director. He joins after seven years at Mirum Hong Kong, where he was general manager, projects, with clients including Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Wynn Macau, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), HSBC and Hong Kong International Airport.
Naga DDB Tribal ‘integrated’ 17 digital specialists who were formerly members of KevoKanvas, a digital creative agency. Nik Radzi is now head of digital creative and technology, while Terri Chua is digital client servicing director.
Integral Ad Science (IAS) appointed Niall Hogan as managing director of Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. Previously, he established the IAS brand in Europe as managing director in the UK and head of strategic development for EMEA.
Golin Hong Kong hired Carol Yeung as senior manager in the consumer practice and Andy Wong (黃偉傑) as digital creative director. Yeung most recently worked for Edelman where she led several accounts across travel, hospitality, energy, and consumer tech. Prior to that she worked with the HKSAR Government and started her career with Fleishman-Hillard Hong Kong. Wong joins from Isobar.
Scripps Networks Interactive named Leena Singarajah as managing director, Asia, effective immediately. Based in Singapore, she will lead the growth strategy for the lifestyle business across the region.
WPP AUNZ’s Active Display Group appointed Deane Hubball as CEO. He was previously GM of group business with the Blueprint Group. He also previously worked as group CEO of Creative Instore Solutions.
Burson-Marsteller hired Elizabeth Bae as managing director of the corporate practice in Korea. She arrived from Edelman Korea, where she led the agency’s corporate and consumer division.
Mongoose Media promoted Nicholas Ng to vice president of sales with immediate effect. Nicholas, who joined Mongoose in 2006, will run advertising and sponsorship sales across Malaysia and Singapore.
Terrie Lam joined The Washington Post‘s sales team as regional head. Lam will be based in The Post’s first Singapore office where she will manage sales and content partnerships. She most recently worked at Forbes Media as deputy executive director.
Publicis Hong Kong promoted Jacqueline Lam (林祗瑩) from business director for AXA to client services director. She will now be responsible for continuing business development with all HK clients.
Jan-Philipp Jahn was promoted to managing director at Serviceplan China, from his previous role of general manager. Jahn is a decade-long Serviceplan veteran who first joined the agency’s Hamburg office as account director in October 2006.
BUSINESS WINS
Tribal Worldwide Singapore won a pitch to lead the planning, development and rollout of mySamsung, a mobile customer care program that runs across 11 markets.
Sports marketing agency Lagardère Sports and The X Collective, a subsidiary of SMRT Commercial, have been appointed by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) as the official sponsorship and marketing consultant for Singapore’s first ever large-scale bicycle sharing system. The consortium will develop and manage a sponsorship programme for the next eight years. The system is expected to launch by the end of this year.
WE Communications was appointed communications partner for IoT Asia 2017, jointly organised by SingEx Exhibitions and Singapore Industrial Automation Association. WE will handle earned media through integrated storytelling, and work across IoT Asia’s owned and paid channels.
Airbnb hired Teneo Blue Rubicon as its Southeast Asia communications agency. The work will include building Airbnb’s brand across the region, and raising brand awareness with consumers and policymakers. Teneo Blue Rubicon will represent Airbnb in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Sydney-based Local Measure, a social customer intelligence provider for the hotel and tourism sector, has raised AU$4.5 million in capital. The money will help expand its global footprint as it opens an office in Dubai later this month and another in Los Angeles later this quarter.
Sydney-based Filtered Media joined PROI Worldwide, which now has four agencies in Sydney and Melbourne, and plans to add a fifth in Brisbane soon.
Mobile advertising agency Kargo expanded into APAC with its first office in Sydney. It’s the firm’s second office outside the US, in addition to London. New executive hires Robert Leach, Peter Birch and Rob Williams will play key roles in continuing to drive the company’s international growth.
Mobile marketing analytics and attribution platform AppsFlyer secured US$56 million in its series C funding round. It plans to accelerate growth in China and Southeast Asia, and open an Indonesia office. The app reached almost 2 billion downloads in Asia by the end of 2016.
